How can I get it?

Email or call us to place an advance order for the above dates.  We are taking orders for ½ bushels, tentative price is $30.

How much does it cost?

Prices have not yet been determined.  We’ll let you know as soon as we are able to get the costs!  Email us with your interest and pounds wanted and we’ll get you the prices ASAP, likely on Monday July 7.

How and where is the fruit grown?

All of the fruit is grown conventionally.  I’ve looked for organic farms in the vicinity and have not come up with any organic or natural options.  The farms are located in and around Berrien and Van Buren counties, Michigan…just over the Indiana Stateline.

Here’s the Story:

Spending time every summer in Lower Michigan for as long as I can remember, we gorge ourselves on the bounty of fruits available from local family farms.  We’ve gone from picking our own blueberries and peaches to now buying them in bulk for winter storage.  Eating handfuls of blueberries all day long is our family’s style of getting those healthy antioxidants.  This delicious fresh treat comes at a good price, allowing us to buy 50 pounds just for our family of four!  Since we literally can’t eat them often enough, I’ve decided to share this local bounty with interested customers who also love the juicy sweetness of good quality fruit.

At Earth Harvest Farm, we believe in supporting local small family farms.  It is important to me to continue purchasing from the farms that we have come to know and love over many seasons.  Knowing the farmers on a first name basis allows me to hear about their struggles to survive.  With land prices skyrocketing and orchards being turned into subdivisions or vineyards, there have been no new fruit farms in the area for many years.  By continually supporting these farmers by purchasing large quantities of their fruit, you and I are keeping bread on their table and their trees from being cut down for more homes.  Join me in supporting their operation by buying fruit that is grown locally and on family farms rather than by purchasing organic berries from Canada or California.
